All my Single Ladies!

Now that you have up to date info on my luxurious day at the spa, this post won't seem like it is coming at you from left field. As I was driving home for the spa and felt so wonderful, I was reflecting on the source of all this tension. Dear Jusband had been TDY the fwo weeks prior, and I honestly think every time he leaves I get a new gray hair, a few new sites for botox injection, and a couple of extra pounds (cookies help me cope)! Needless to say, I always look hotter when he comes home ...

So that is my little pity story, but in all honesty, I am 100% blessed. I have a great jusband, two fantastic little boys, a home to live in, a car to drive and food on my table (maybe even a little too much) every day. What is there for me to really be stressed about?

I would like to dedicate this post to all those single mom's out there. Some with and those without family around to give you a much needed break. Children are wonderful, but it can be taxing to have their physical and emotional well-being resting solely in the hands of one. I can't think of anyone better than their mama's to provide this, but it is hard work. I appreciate, and your kids appreciate, how much hard work you are putting in even if they can't vocalize it. You're so mean and I hate you really do sound like I love you if you close your eyes and remember when they were two years old. I would like to encourage you to take a break, some "me time," for yourself. The kids will be okay if you take the time for yourself. You'll have even more energy for them when you can recuperate - mind, body, and soul. I needed it after 2 weeks - so please treat yourself. You do deserve it. And thanks ladies, for the hard you are doing for your kids. This song is for you! All the lyrics don't really illustrate my point, but who doesn't love Beyonce and JT in spandex?

Seriously how can you can not smile when you watch that video! :) And I so agree with you. I think too often Moms forget to take care of themselves as well as they are taking care of their kids! Taking a little time for yourself is always much deserved to a mother!

video is hilarious. it's reese's favorite song as well as one of mine. in fact it was on my playlist for the race the other day. i agree moms don't get treated well and recognized most of the time. yeah jusband (i'm a few days behind on blog stalking) for being so sweet on mother's day. you deserve it...esp now that you see what it's like me a stay at home mom. maybe we should write a song about stay at home moms....and dance around in swimsuits...NOT
